Urban Jungle

Urban Jungle is a new design strategy that looks at cities as complex systems made of energy efficient buildings and able to establish virtuous relationships with the environment and its resources, as well as to ensure citizens’ well-being. With our team of experts in plant science, architecture and environmental engineering, Pnat drawn up the first Guidelines for Plant-based solutions design at building scale: the technical support for projects to obtain Urban Jungle certification.

Prato is the first city to test Urban Jungle method: in 2019, the urban forestation project Prato Urban Jungle, developed with Prato district and other partners such as Studio Boeri architetti, won the 4th UIA Context, the initiative of the European Union that supports urban sustainable innovative solutions.
