STABILITREE - VILLA BARDINI

With the contribution of Fondazione CR Firenze, we launched a monitoring project of the trees of Villa Bardini Historical Garden, one of the most evocative places in Florence. With the technical support of LINV – International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology we applied 20 stability sensors on 20 long-lived trees, in order to simplify and enhance their monitoring and maintenance.

Trees become in this way the accurate indicators of their own state of health. This is one of the goals of STABILI-TREE, the project that aims to create and implement a sensor system on urban trees, in order to obtain useful data from plants and make urban green maintenance more efficient and cheaper.
