The Fabbrica dell’Aria, installed at Cinema Anteo in Milan, is a site-specific project that combines art, nature, and technology to improve air quality in indoor public spaces. The two installations are strategically located within the cinema: one on the ground floor, in the foyer of the Excelsior hall, and the other on the upper level, past the ticket offices.
The project harnesses the natural abilities of plants to absorb pollutants and purify the air, supported by an integrated ventilation and environmental monitoring system. The selected plant species filter toxins and help create a healthier, more comfortable environment for everyone. Beyond aesthetics, the installation emphasizes well-being and cognitive benefits: studies show that cleaner air and the presence of greenery improve concentration, mood, and the overall visitor experience.
The Fabbrica dell’Aria at Cinema Anteo represents a model of integration between environmental care, technology, and artistic design, offering visitors not only the chance to enjoy films but also a healthier and more inspiring atmosphere.
